This page chronicles the construction on the inn. Now that the inn is finished, we hope you enjoy how we made it.
The first picture shows the 100 year-old wood we used for our lumber. The wood came from a bridge that once crossed the Great Salt Lake. The second shows a view from one of the Inn's new rooms.

From the second floor of the Inn, you can begin to see the spectacular view that awaits El Portal guests.

Next to it is one of the Inn doors with it's detailed glasswork.

We've kept the established trees on the property and built around them.Photo on right details the heavy lumber used throughout the Inn.
