COVID-19 Update
The City of Sedona’s Mayor Mandates Masks
Beginning June 25, 2020, for people five years of age and older, face coverings are required in public, including private businesses, where physical distancing is not possible. Additionally, and in line with Arizona Governor Ducey’s direction, businesses whose employees interact with the public must require employees to wear face coverings. From Steve Segner, Owner of El Portal Sedona Hotel…
I want to let you know that all of us at El Portal is just as concerned about COVID-19 as you are, and rest assured we are doing everything we possibly can to protect our guests. Most importantly, public areas are cleaned and disinfected every day, hands are washed regularly, and masks are worn. We are following the latest advisories from WHO and Arizona Dept. of Health Services. As we are a small hotel, we have fewer guests staying with us, this means less contact which means fewer chances for contamination. We have plenty of space for all our guests to relax and unwind, dine, read a book, to simply be (and for social distancing). With just 12 rooms spaced out around an open-air courtyard, many with their own patio or balcony, El Portal is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or even a big hotel. Plus there is a wide variety of great restaurants for takeout and delivery, three within walking distance serving breakfast!
El Portal is an amazing place to rest and relax; enjoy our small town and discover the American Southwest from the privacy of your own car. The wildflowers are exploding, the red rocks – well, they’re still stunning. There’s fishing, hiking (some of the busiest trails are closed), lazing around, and so much more. When you are finished exploring, return to El Portal Sedona Hotel and put your feet up, whether it’s in the beautiful great room or by the fire pit outside, or in your private room, the choice is yours, there’s lots of space!
You can be sure, your safety and health are our number one priority! If you have any questions or concerns about Sedona or El Portal Sedona Hotel, and to reserve your room, please contact us at 1.800.313.0017 or info@elportalsedona.com.
Please note: exposure to COVID-19 or testing positive is not grounds for cancellations or rebooking dates. We highly recommend trip insurance if you want to protect your trip, we suggest CSA Travel Protection Insurance at 800.348.9505 or www.csatravelprotection.com or contact your local AAA Travel Agent for specific insurance plans available.
Thank you,
Steve Segner
