Gardens for Humanity is having its second annual Earth Cups fundraiser Saturday, August 25th from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Sedona Arts Center Special Exhibition Gallery and Theatre Studio in Uptown Sedona, just off of Art Barn Road. The fundraiser benefits the Gardens for Humanity elementary school program called, “Celebrating the Art in Earth” which enables six artist/teacher teams in six different schools in Sedona and the Verde Valley to provide a multi-media art experience that explores the beauty of nature from different perspectives.
The event will have hand-made and hand-painted coffee mugs, tea cups and saucers, and serving platters for sale starting at $5.00. There will be complimentary hot and cold teas, coffees and other liquid refreshments available, as well as finger foods with locally grown treats of jams and honeys, and organic and gluten free pastries. Join in this old fashion coffee social. It’s a friendly way to support art and environmental education in the schools. For more information contact Gardens for Humanity at 928-284-9055.
Gardens for Humanity mission is to awaken and tend the gardens of the human spirit by teaching and celebrating our connection to nature, local agriculture, art and community while promoting an ecologically sustainable and more humane culture.
