The guided nature walks that Red Rock State Park offers are a wonderful opportunity to see the beauty that is Sedona and area. Daily at 10am visitors are led by a naturalist of the Park on a nature walk that lasts up to 2 hours. These walks will introduce you to the riparian ecosystem of Oak Creek and other aspects of the Park. (This type of ecosystem is the areas by the creek bank that supply food, cover, and water for a large diversity of animals, and serve as migration routes and forest connectors between habitats for a variety of wildlife).
Other topics of discussion may include geology, history, archaeology, plants and wildlife, including a few facts about Sedona. The Park is a nature lover’s paradise – deer sightings are not uncommon.
The guided walk is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the area. Bring comfortable shoes, water and of course your camera!
