Summer’s Not Over Yet in Sedona!

The summer season is winding down across the state, but Sedona is not going to let it go without a final month of events for visitors to enjoy.  Headlining this month is the Sedona Wine Fest: a two day festival that showcases the many local wineries and their great wines from the Verde Valley, Prescott and the Southern Arizona regions.  This year the Wine Fest will take place on September 27th and 28th, so come over the weekend and enjoy the delicious wine as well as the food, music, and vendors!

Many people are still unaware of the local wines and vineyards in Arizona.   The soil in the hills is so rich that it has even been compared to Burgundy, France, and the wine festival is the perfect opportunity to learn about this region and the world-class grapes it grows.  If you’re interested in sampling these premium Arizona wines, then Sedona Wine Festival is the perfect way for you to spend the weekend – learning about all things wine, trying premium local reds and whites, and enjoying the food, music, and vendors that come with it.   If you find yourself wanting to learn more than the two day festival can hope to teach you, then consider going on a tour of the local vineyards – many of which have tastings and even jeep tours for interested parties.  Arizona is growing in reputation, so wrap up the summer and kick off the fall with this annual event that draws people from near and far!

If wine isn’t really your “thing,” then maybe the chance to spend some time at one of Arizona’s most loved parks will catch your attention.  October 4th is the tenth annual Slide Rock Festival, so come by to one of the Nation’s Top Ten State Parks to enjoy live music, talks, and demonstration that discuss and celebrate the history of the park.  There is an annual bake sale and a silent auction at the event as well, and the good news is it costs nothing extra – your pass into the state park gets you into this event!

Finally, a place known for its local artistry is proud to play host to two more arts and crafts shows.  The Oak Creek Arts and Craft show will be on October 10th, and the Annual Sedona Arts Festival and Artist invitational will take place on October 11th through 12th.  The Oak Creek show is a monthly display of vendors for all tastes and artistic eyes, and most of the artists are local talents that make Sedona proud.  The Arts Festival and Artist Invitational seeks to promote awareness of the Arts and support artists as it builds community through this annual celebration. In previous years this event has been able to raise $300,000 for arts program funds. There will be over 150 new and returning artists as well as food and entertainment! It would be almost impossible to leave any of these shows without a little piece of the Red Rock region to take home with you!Suite 2 – The Molesworth
